he Ateneo de Naga high school batch 1993 has come a long way from the days when we were a bunch of lanky, awkwardly cute troublesome kids with the funkiest hairdos but who didn’t know better. Those were the times immortalized by all our weird slapstick antics, cheap thrills, dares, profound idiocies and astounding acts of stupidities every blue blooded Atenean worth his salt goes thru. Those too were times of great courage in the face of inter-scholastic intellectual contests and personal and academic angst. Yes, we fought many battles and innumerable foes both curricular, extra curricular and everything in between. Whether the problem called for the pen or the sword, Batch 93 had specific colleagues to deal with it. We lost some fights of course, but like the true golden knights that we were, bore the loss well. We were victorious most of the time though.
From the age when we were just a couple of smart alecky kids experiencing our firsts (smokes, rut-gut liquor, the occasional girl, rock and roll…) and trying to squeeze all the thrills possible out of high school life, we have come of age. We sirs, as the late good Rev. Fr. President Raul S. Bonoan S.J. so “emphatically” said, are not boys anymore. And so I welcome you all! Let us visit old memories and pray start new ones. Scroll on and see the pride that is ATENEO HIGH SCHOOL BATCH 1993!!! PRIMUM REGNUM DEI!!!
